I have had weird cases in the past that looking at my hands crashed the game. I think I changed some of my graphics settings and it fixed itself.
I've tried Low, High and Ultra Graphics Settings and I'm getting the same results, here is a short video:

I might end up having to create a button in the in-game settings menu that teleports you to after the container ride.

Also, are any of you using Vulkan as your graphics API?
"ent_fire SkipRide trigger"
in the console.
This is exactly what the button in the options menu does.
To be able to open the console, add "-console -vconsole" to your launch options.
