stuck elevator, teleport issues in credits map - by Millie
This discussion was originally the "Bug Reports & Performance Issues", but I changed it since I realized having all reports in one discussion will quickly become cluttered.

in intro 7 elevator would not open and could not move. in map before credits, had to use noclip after portalling to final area. in credits, screen would stay black (did not go to credits area, had to restart map)

How were you managing your playspace? For example, were you seated, or were you moving around a lot during loading screens? For a2_intro, there have been issues previously with getting stuck, and I think I might have a solution for it. For the credits area, I don't see how the screen would stay black, so I think you may have teleported under the credits area somehow.

It's good to see that our noclip setting has already come in useful. With constant teleporting, getting stuck is inevitable.

How were you managing your playspace? For example, were you seated, or were you moving around a lot during loading screens? i used the ingame teleport function only a few times for when i wanted to move a little faster. as for playspace, i was seated and had decent space around me. i did not really physically move. I think that the credits was just caused by me both moving forward and teleporting since i did not know what was going to happen. maybe i was brought to the turret room and was teleporting at the same time and that somehow messed something up. Also, would it be possible for the noclip feature to be released seperately? would be lots of fun to just be able to fly around certain areas of the main campaign without having to rely on the console. I do not know if Valve ever changed it but using wasd and arrows to noclip was really annoying so it would be great for playing around certain chapters.

That might be what happened. If it's a frequent issue, then I have a solution in mind. As for the noclip, that's part of AlyxLib, which got a recent update. It's layout is slightly different since my addon uses a modified version, but it should still be 3 button presses to open an in-game menu.

Hey, i could not open any menu in alyxlib. i did see that there is a github link with console commands but other than that, regardless of what button i press thrice, no menu opens,

Make sure you have the -dev launch option added, as AlyxLib requires that to open the in-game menu.
You can find the launch options by opening HLA's properties on Steam.
