Searchlight Suggestion
I know that due to the bug you removed the searchlight, but I love using it to decorate my defenses in casual games, so here's an idea inspired by the reworked IR 251 Half Track:

How about it just provides a long line of Blockable line of sight, serving the role of a stationary telescoped recon car?

Sight is stronger on some maps because it allows you to use off map barrages. I think it can be a nice addition with tweaked range.

Any progress on this? I think they were back for a while but now they are gone again?

The searchlight is available for the Wehrmacht Pioneers.

Just little comment about the searchlight.


probably the only defensive building with no icon, can be easily hidden and not noticed in some maps, especially custom ones which include neutral search lights.

To add to this, searchlights are extremely hard to hit at long range, way too hard to it. I would add that the other vision provinding building (sov watchtower) should have a upgrade to integrate a searchlight, that way you don't have to be always with a squad inside the structure but the mentioned searchlight can be damage and needs repairs like the one from werh.
