Buildable World objects
I was thinking, it might be cool to be able to build world object type fortifications like trenches. I have quite a lot of fun using rear echelon troops to aggressively "defend" enemy territory. And being able to build an actual trench system across the battlefield would be quite a lot of fun in my opinion.

I did actually do some work on this sort of thing for a project of mine a while back so I do have a proof of concept. http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1081602051.

What I've done is used the deformation from one of the wehr HQ buildings to create a depression. The trench walls are created by spawning entities (here sandbags) and using offsets to place them to either side of the ditch and down in it.

At the very least I think it would be cool to see what a skilled modder could do with the idea.

It's a very cool way of creating new fortifications! I used a similar way to create the flamethrower emplacements, build one object and spawn the others. I think it's possible to create very realistic trenches with the right entities. I don't have the time at the moment for further development of the mod, but you should post this on this site: https://www.coh2.org/forum/43/modding-and-tools

I'm sure that others modders will use this idea and make their own implementations of it!
