Stats
I think that is looks like a weapon that would shoot more pellets per shot, and be less auurate. I also think that it would have a larger clip mabye stats like this:

+33% clip size (8 shots)
+25% max primairy ammo on wearer
+33% more pellets out (8 per shot instead of 6)
-20% less accurate/longer spread recoverey
-15% faster reload
-20% damage falloff/damage ramp-up
-10% slower firing speed

maybe... or exploding shots and less ammunition... hard 2 say... little heavy looking... this is my suggestion

+10 damage
+small explosion from susessfull close range hit (like direct hit size)
+ 25% bullet size

-5% speed
-10 hp
-3% jump height/speed when out

I agree with game machine, it looks like a gun with a little more power behind it at first look.

I personally dont agree with game machine's suggestion as it makes the scout too frail, and reduces his mobility. The scout should be a hit and run character, but with the reduced speed, health, and jump hight, it would make him less mobile and bery easily killed.

So, your Idea basicly turns it into a Family Business, but not as effective (Passable, do to how fast the Scout is), and for scout? ._.

Ima tweak it a bit but the orignal idea was Game_Machine's:

+20% damage

+Causes small explosion which affects players at close range.

+Explosion could be used for "rocket" jumpinhg.

+25% bullet size

+50% faster reload speed

-30% speed while out

-70% fire resistance

-Cannot double jump while holding.

-60% mag size

-Explosion can do damage to yourself.

Obviously I don't these this weapon should have ALL these stats, I am only trying to throw ideas out there.

I could live with some simple stats here that would make sense.
+ 25% damage
- 10% fire rate
- 20% clip size

It'd be nice to have a scattergun that is simply made to have the scout play slightly more offensively rather than having added speed, flanking advantages, maneuverability or a higher damage output at a longer range. It'd be nice to have a couple on the front lines as a force to be reckoned with rather than running at the first 50 damage taken in fear of death.

Just my opinion here.

My stats are

Pros:
+10% Damage
Damage Increases for every kill or assist

Cons:
-25% accurate
-10% slower fire rate
Cannot double jump

the ammount of damage done is the same, but the ammount of falloff is increased. This, along with the lenthened spread recoverd and reduced accuracy makes the weapon much more of a close quarters hit-and-run weapon, allowing a player to flee from fights to reload. Reduced moblity greatly reduces the effectivness of a scout, and splash damage on a hitscan weapon would play hell with the scource engine.

Id say...

+25% Damage
+10% Ammo Cappacity
-20% Spread
-Can't pick up ammo from fallen wepeons

i think a good trait for this weapon would be a super fast reload but can only shoot once per reload, like the shotgun, it also carrys ammo like the minigun, no reserve you can just constantly shoot
