Good Companions for party leaders?
Im wondering which of the types of wanderers would make for good Party Leaders
And also maybe any tips on where to find them/companions in general lol, I dont seem to come across many Wanderers but the encyclopedia sure is full of them!

I have tried promoting my own troops that show promising stats and skills but I have only managed to have one Promoted Companion not just disappear when loading the game.

So... Where all the people at lol?

Gonna tag on an extra question here too!

Are the Ai lords also promoting units? I noticed a ♥♥♥♥ Ton of wanderers that seemed to not be "existing"- like no "Last seen" information even tho the Vanilla-like wanderers give that even if you haven't met them yet
just dozens of location-less wanderers with out nick names; -the Butcher, -Wall breaker, -the Fatherless

I've not seen much variation, nor ones that come pre levelled, most have been low level with little stats, which is ok if you can take the time to level them up, and good to fill positions within parties etc they just suck at it for a while....

same here, have had to make all the specialised roles i wanted - only companion which i got that had super high stats off the bat was my wife, a daughter of a daimyo

Download the detailed character customization mod for bannerlord. It will stop the companions from disappearing from the list, and you will be able to use them, as they will stay in the hero list.

with that said, ive been promoting the Elite Kanto Cavalry or the Hokikiru Odachi Samurai since theyre t6 i think and have really good stats and perk points.

My suggestion is go through your promotable troops at camp and see which have the best proficencies.
