When I started a new game, my Explorer was assigned to a Recon Company. He ended up getting it b/c of miasma, and when I built another, it didn't have a company listing. I think I ended up building a third and it was assigned to a company (I don't remember what happened to explorer 2, unfortunately) and I haven't seen the bug since,
My game crashed and I had to reload from an autosave, and the unit data wasn't carried over. Service length and kills were wiped out, unit names were re-generated, and home town was listed as "unknown". Company assignments stayed the same though, I think.
Love the mod! Keep up the great work!
in the event of a crash the save feature isn't initialized so the latest info would be lost. However it's odd that all data was lost since it should have retained the info from te last save. Which should have been the auto-save. I'll have to take a look at it and see about testing the auto-save to make sure data is being saved correctly with it.
The stats and the unit assignment are held in different tables. The unit assignment probably appears the same ssince the build order is retained and reran on load by the default game (not associated with the mod). So you probably were just using the 4 unit companies default and it just recreated the companies based on that.
Artillery and Armor are not supposed to be lumped together please separate them. Arty is the abbreviation for artillery if needed.
