Bug reports & incompatibility.
Hey everyone,

Been seeing a lot of post about issues with getting the mod working and is creating this discussion to help consolidate the comments.

- If you have any bug reports please post them here.

- Currently it is known that custom translation mods will cause the mod to not work, however vanilla translation works without issues.

-For people with problems there are three options
1. Disable translation mod
2. Change item names manually in ItemName_XX.txt (17 items, 2 entries for each = 34 total)
3. Ask mod author to update the translations.

For translation mod authors:
Make sure that your translations in ItemName_XX.txt for Base Name and Radio Name match for all 17 radio items:

Example:
ItemName_Base.TvBlack = "ValuTech Television",
ItemName_Radio.TvBlack = "ValuTech Television",

if only i knew what any of this meant. Don't gotta "translation" mod or a whole lotta hours on the game but I saw your dope ass mod so HAD to sub and ive rebooted the game like 3 times, rearranged mod order, about all a gaming layman can do and no sick UI poppin up for me.

Does it support multiplayer?
It works in singleplayer game for me but it works partially in multiplayer. Some devices show new interface but some of them shows nothing at all.

The reason also might be in some other mods, I suspect engineeering modes as long as it works with same devices in game:

Does Spiffophonic Sound Lite work with this? I'm still relatively new and wouldn't know the diff from Vanilla vs this or another mod that effects sounds from tv/radio.

Also wonder if I'm missing some way to pin the interface so it doesn't close the moment I 'look away' and have to find the context menu again (and again)? Fantastic work from what I saw of the "in-universe" video loops!

little same (all the electronic interface shows and working execpt for the tvs with the show image that show the broadcast or whatever you watch it does not show (the tv image does show exepct for the channel video images))

I can't enable the mod, it says "AVAILABLE ONLY IN DEBUG (mod must be updated to 42.0+)

on b41 or 42? for me i can change between the stations but the music stays playing the same as the first station

on both, for me the station stops and plays the next station when i turn the knob

Not working on my saved multiplayer server. Our TVs were not functional after installing mod. Device options did nothing when clicked. Car radio was working, however. I tried a walkie talkie as well and could not get the interface to show up. I REALLY want to use this mod… it’s an huge improvement to standard gameplay which is what I’ve been modding into my server. Anyone got a fix that doesn’t include wiping my server? :(

Please read the FAQ. Unfortunately the mod only works on new saves and not old ones when it comes to servers.

Yes I read it after posting that. A couple days ago I’d read somewhere else on the discussion that it was working for old save MP servers but I see that’s not the case now. Oh well, when b42 multiplayer is released I will use this mod for sure
