[SETTINGS]

[BREAKTHROUGHS]

New research and some breakthroughs build on each other.
Therefore, the game starts with all possible breakthroughs, not just five.

All breakthroughs are unlocked in the technology tree from the start, but must first be researched with the corresponding prerequisites.

The breakthrough "Improved Solar Collector", for example, is now a prerequisite for researching "Graphene Solar Collector" and receiving the upgrade of the solar collectors.
To compensate for this, there are high skill requirements and an increasing research time.

[UNLOCKING]

Food and material fabricators and all associated recipes are accessible on every map.
Research into the production of mech cores and the associated mechs as well.
The corresponding requirements for research are still there.


[INTERFACE]

[DESCRIPTIONS]

Each new item or building option now displays detailed information about all its properties.
Each new research now provides detailed information about what will be unlocked next.

[REPAIR FUNCTION]

You can repair damaged but not yet destroyed equipment. Additional options are added to the tailor- and soldering bench.
(Armor: Synthetic armor and better / Weapons: Futuristic and new weapons)

[RESEARCH QUEUE]

Expanded to 10, fits perfect into the research screen

[SUBMENUS]

To prevent the upgrades from making the menus confusing, several submenus have been created for each affected building option:
All Turrets, Batterys, Generators, Lightning Rods, Motion Sensors, Power Cell Generators, Solar Collectors and Wind Turbines.
These can now be upgraded like buildings, which saves time for demolition and new construction.

Can store and freeze manure

1000 storage spaces, freezes everything

+5 damage, +20m range, +40% durability, -30% energy consumption, -75% malfunctions, 50% chance to deflect damage

Eternium: (Laser)
+10 damage, +30m range, -50% attack cooldown, +60% durability, 300% energy consumption, -90% malfunctions, 80% chance to deflect damage

Fragment Cannon:
20 damage, 50m range, 5m area of effect, 5s cooldown, knockback, 50% chance to deflect damage

Railgun:
30 damage, 100m range, 6s cooldown, 50% chance to deflect damage

Stun Cannon:
1 damage, 25m range, 5m area of effect, 3s cooldown, targets consciousness & movement, 50% chance to deflect damage

Rift Cannon:

Produces 5000 energy, no malfunctions, immune to weather effects, indestructible, can only be built once

Eternium synthesizer:
Produces 10 Eternium out of 10 Adamantium + 50 Elerium

Improved carbon wind turbine:
Produces 120 energy, -50% malfunctions

Improved material fabricator:
+200% power consumption, +100% production, -50% malfunctions

Improvised drone:
Does its job for 24 days, then needs one energy cell for another 24 days

Lightning rod (Improved):
+15m range (35m)

Mining machine:
Can mine small amounts of stone and ore

Mining machine (Advanced):
Mines a little bit more stone and ore, as well as some silicon

+150% hit points

Reinforced wooden power pole:

Repair the Spaceship:
Allows the transfer of Eternium and unlocks new research based on Eternium

Backup if the only intelligent one dies and no one else meets the minimum requirements

Extreme damage, low attack speed, short range

AoE, knockback, bleeding

Chee Tah Pulse Rifle:
Indestructible cheat weapon with 100m range, 180 degree hit field and 10 second stun chance.
Destroys surrounding resources!
Only available as equipment brought by the character "Chee Tah".
Can neither be researched nor manufactured.


[TOOLS]

Storage box with concrete:
Brought into the game by Leroy. Drop and dismantle to obtain 150 concrete.
On flat terrain, this can be used to build a 7x7 field for a landing spot.

Storage box with drone kit:
Brought into the game by Samira. Drop and dismantle to obtain a kit for an improvised drone that can take a lot of work off your hands.
Does not require external energy, is powered by a built-in energy cell. This lasts 24 days, after which another one is required.

Storage box with mining machine kit:
Brought into the game by Cheikhou. Drop and dismantle to obtain a kit for a self-sufficient mining machine.
Does not require external energy, is powered by a built-in energy cell. This lasts 24 days, after which another one is required.

Project X Compatible:
Unlocks missing research for Expanded Dawn.

No Alien Content:
Blocks a big part of this mod: The research for Energy Sphere and everything that is unlocked depending on it, is not available!

No Trading:
Disables the "Unknown Energy Signature" expedition and the associated trading system.


[Positive]

Eidetic Memory:
The loss of experience points from skills is reduced to 0.

Health Craze:
Increases the health of all survivors to 500.

Regeneration:
Restores 25 health per hour to all survivors.

Rescue Pods MK II:
Doubles the chance of finding someone on the "Search for Survivors" expedition.
Chance: 30% no survivors, 60% 1 survivor, 10% 2 survivors.

Run For Your Life:
Increases the running speed of all survivors by 100%.


[Negative]

Amnesia:
Reduces all skills by 2.

High Gravity:
Reduces the work and movement speed of all survivors by 25%.

Merciless:
Maximum health reduced by 90%

Plague:
Survivors receive continuous damage from unknown pathogens and are subjected to periodic vomiting.
Can only be cured with 3 antibiotics.

Resistant Parasites:
Increases the food consumption of all survivors by 50%.

Fights twice as fast with melee weapons
Has 25% more movement speed and manipulation efficiency

Samira - Drone pilot
Expeditions are completed faster

Special: Brings an improvised drone kit that runs for half a year. After that, always requires 1 energy cell for another 24 days.

Most of it seems like it will enter the realm of OP later on, but we'll see. I may just have to use restraint on some of the higher tiers.

Evening Tigu.

I decided to start a new crash landing scenario using your mod. Opted to start with Chee in the initial party line up. After just an hour I am somewhat in agreement with Mantastic that end game could be OP. Already, I have wiped out entire hillsides with just 3 survivors and the Chee gun to include Shriekers, Trees, Pancoths, and anything else in the line of fire all dead and ready for transport. I have to admit it gave me a huge chuckle; BAM! Trees ready for use, meat aplenty and no more Shriekers to worry about and all in a matter of mere seconds. Too easy, actually. That said, please do not remove the option for the Chee or the gun. There are times I want an easy go.

As for compatibility with other mods, so far Extended Dawn plays well with others. Only issue I really had was with the Max 10 Survivors mod. When I loaded it, started getting errors. Disabled the Max 10 and it stopped.

Even though it was easy with all the research done by Chee and the gun making hunting easy. I found having only 3 survivors was still a little more difficult. Added in the Beyond Stranded. No errors and shortly received a walk up. Yeah! Also running various other QOL mods such as colorful clothing, water, hygiene, batch smelting and the like. Runs smooth.

I will be restarting the crash landing scenario after dinner this evening without Chee or all his benefits. Will give you another update after I play the mod without the Chee Tah. *grin*

Chee is actually just there to see what is possible.
Having all the research or the (not producible) superweapon right at the beginning is of course CHEE-ting :D

Otherwise, I see it as progress in technology and production continuing at the point where everything is normally researched or built.
It could be that in the end it will be a bit OP, I have always tried to add a disadvantage on the other side when there is a big advantage on one side.

I hope everything fits together and runs smoothly so far.
I've completed a few playthroughs myself and couldn't find any errors.

Hi. Running the mod since Friday evening. Friday not a problem and ran smoothly. Saturday, noticed the image/thumbnail for nanotech research was missing. Also received mod warning for SAD_CommonLib. This error has been consistent since it first occurred on Saturday. On initial log on I get the error. Has also noted a little lag. Not sure that is the mod or me stressing out my system. LOL

So... if select Plague, then any character who's shown as incapable of healing (e.g., Pierre) has no hope of survival, dead in 9 days... correct? I just want to make sure I haven't overlooked something :)

Thanks! I appreciate the reply.

I was hoping for a scenario where I had to manage a disease - something where I have to take regular action in game (eg, the opposite of sleep parasites which I find kind of boring). Plague definitely offers that, but I'd really like to chose when I want to enable the forced self heal.

Hi, the plague affects androids and they cannot be healed by antibiotics it seems.

I added this to one of my saves, but I can't seem to get some of the research to show up like the Material Fabricator, Improved Graphene Solar Cells or the Optimized weapon research. I've researched what I thought the pre-reqs were but they're not showing up still. I am using the Project-X mod as well
