All of the cities you can start at get hit I think

well now there are new towns new starts one is super small echo creek. Those new places are not hit, a legit answer form a dev or dev associate would be nice.

Muldraugh, West Point, Louisville, and Riverside are all hit with nukes. Echo Creek is spared but you'll deal with nuclear winter.

All starting locations except for Echo Creek and Fallas Lake are impacted.

so is Irvington, and Brandenburg safe?

Had to check real quick via debug because I couldn't remember.

Brandenburg and Irvington are also destroyed by nukes. I was also wrong about Fallas Lake, it gets struck too, oddly enough, considering it's smaller than Echo Creek.

As far as I can see, every town and city in the game, except for Echo Creek, is destroyed by nukes. Whatever ISN'T destroyed will still be affected by the nuclear winter which is map-wide.

OMG thats kinda excessive, I like the nuke event but dont like how it hits everything, hope we get some mod option eventually. Thank you for looking into it for me. I know where to run to now!

I mean, it makes sense if we're talking nuclear war. They're gonna strike several major towns and cities in an effort to hinder recovery efforts or civilian retaliation. Though I do agree there should be some exceptions. I think Fallas Lake and maybe Irvington should be spared as well for some opportunity of post-nuke exploration, or maybe the areas hit is randomized every run so maybe Louisville or West Point gets spared in one run.

This is not nuclear war though it trying to stop an infection, while maintaining as much infrastructure for re-population, after cleansing. Ye Echo, Fallas, Irvington, and Rosewood should be left un-nuked while everything else goes.
