I'll note a few I am aware of, you can tell them to 'stay here' or 'guard this area' and they will remain in that spot.(roughly) Or you can ask them 'what are you holding' and they will list weapons they have including guns or melee. You can use 'hey' and they will stop for a moment, useful when separating one from a group. Also 'follow me' or 'come with me' to get them to join you, which works on anyone who speaks but not military or spawned police in my experience.
I use other mods I don't think affect this, but this is what I am aware of.

Insults turn them aggressive and you can say "I'm sorry" and they might stop attacking you. You can also ask how they are, what thing they like, what's going on but it's all a set answer. My favorite is ask them "What's your hobby ?"

The follow me command does work on spawned police officers but they dont actually HELP you as i was just gunned down as a police officer by some rather trigger happy cops, maybe slayer will fix that as the mod develops

there is a funny trick. And so you went to someone's house and you were attacked, use "follow me" to join you and thus get free presence in the house. Does not work on raiders
