- The caves have some drawings similar to a certain object.
- The empty cave could be filled with 4 new inhabitants. Find them in the mines.
- One cave is hidden, have you played the chamber of secrets assignment?
- One of the cave contains a heavy object. Maybe it can be used to break the relic.
One thing that I haven't figured out yet is the dancing light motes. So far I've found 4 of them, and there were 4 motes in the cave (1 per each block found), but I've not seen anything other than this visual effect. I do know that Quentin added some campaign objectives, so perhaps as I play more these motes will have more of a role. But for the default mode, I haven't found any effects other than visual.
When you drop the relic near the symbol, it will be atracted to it when all 4 lights are freed. This will activate one of the three endings.
I swear I did that... possibly I mistook 3 for 4...
Did you play the chamber of secrets assignment? Knowledge is what will lead you to the third ending.
No worries, thank you again for this awesome mod, still really enjoying it!
