im playing core saver and theres like 3 diffrent caves i cant acess.. they behind like bedrock and i cant do anything to get / mien to them as im playing assesor..

For any person facing "game breaking" issues. It seems part of the tools used for modding can create this kind of issues when installing / uninstalling multiple mods.

In order to solve this, please go into the steam folder of the game, should be like "~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Dome Keeper/" and delete the compressed file mod_hooks.zip

You should be able to play the game (and even mods if you subscribe again) normally.

To let me know if there are more issues, the fastest way is using the official Dome Keeper discord either in the bug or modding section and ping me with @PO

@Draglorr please can you be more specific? I just played a game of Core Saver Mode and I had no issue.
When you game crashes, what you can do is take your log file and send it into the discord (bug section) explaining what happend and pinning me (@PO). I'll try to solve the issue.

Ever since the may update, this mod repeatedly bricks my game. Sad, but I think thats the end of that since you can't downgrade mods sadly.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it ^^. I can change my mind in the future but there is no more content that will be added in the future. However, making a mod that replaces an existing map data( size + resource rate and stuff like that) with new data should be feasable for begginers if you want to give it a try (you can join the Dome Keeper server for modding help)

Quentin, thank you. This is a glimpse of what I want from a Dome Keeper 2, more depth, lots of room for crazy things down the line. This mod has extended the game play drastically and I can't recommend it enough. Great work on all the little extras pre-launch. I really like going through the extra achievements, but I would like to have the option to increase map size on most of them. It is a weird ask, but thought I would mention it :lunar2019grinningpig:

@AdmiralZander This is a bug reported to me like 1 hour ago, I'm not a superhuman, I'm solving this as soon as possible.
Moreover, even if you don't like the original feature (temporally slowed down), you can play all the other features from the mod (assignments, new keeper, new achievements, new game modifiers).

I have this, the dependency, and No More Knockback. Trying to open the Additional Gadgets menu for guild assignments makes most of the screen white and the center menu blue. Unable to see/choose to change what I have. Disabling this mod works. Only started a few days ago.

For the automonmous modifiers, can you do a few changes:
1) the battle one add the saw blades as well?
2) for the condenser/converter change it so that the condenser is automatic collection, which is a nerf imho but more "automonous" and works better with the feel and theme the modifier was going for.

side note:
-some modifiers should either have a warning of not being compatibile with another (see pyro with automation or big with small).
-the big modifier should come with a warning of increasing difficulty, cause damn that was not what i was expecting first time i used it. BUT it was hilarious and caused a game over.
-the small modifier also has slight increase in difficulty, but is easily overcame with certain upgrades

Thank you for your feedback. Sadly, this is unavoidable as prestige won't let you play with any mod except if it is whitlisted (meaning the devs added an exception in the game code for the mod) the mod. Whitelist will probably never happen for this mod

I’ve. encountered an odd bug where this mod, as well as the dependency mod, makes it so that Prestige Mode simply will not function. It keeps saying the prestige run cannot continue with current mods enabled. Not sure if this is affected by other mods, but it’s rather sad to see, considering how fantastic this mod is.

Also just tried with both mods deactivated and both mods unsubbed. Still no cobalt.

BTW - are there less gadgets in Core Saver mode? Or am I just so used to the one free gadget in most challenges?

With both my mods unsubbed / deactivated, select any world modifier (no enemeies or whatever) and start a run. Does cobalt appear?

I managed to fix it last night by unsubscribing from the mod, restarting til it was gone from mod menu, subscribing again. My progress was retained.

I'm doing some of the Guild Assignments/Challenges added. At a certain point I noticed that cobalt stopped showing up on the map. No matter which assignment or difficulty I choose, I wait for my dome to be destroyed so I can check the map - no cobalt.

Was it always like that for all the assignments in this mod? Is it a bug? Is there a particular assignment you *know* has cobalt.

I've disabled and re-enabled the mod and its dependency but same problem. Also double checked the cobalt reduction parameter on the left and it's zero.

You can discover the new tiles in Core Saver mode or in some assignments. The new tiles are :

- Mega iron tiles
- Chaos tiles (random effects)
- Detonator ile (small explosive tile)
- Destroyer tile (big explosive tile but with a side effect)

@Quentin, I appreciate that you are emphasizing discovery and puzzle solving. I do think we need something to go on than what we are given. Keep in mind that Dome Keeper is a repetitive game, in that we will play with the same mechanics many times. As such, once you solve the new mode once, all following runs have that same puzzle. So keeping everything a secret is less valuable than in a more vast game such as Noita, or in a fully procedural game where the final goal mechanic may change between games.

Thank you for your feedback. Although, the mechanics needed to end a run on coresaver mode are kind of a puzzle to solve, there are hints as to what the caves are for and as to what hitting some new tiles does. I'll see what I can say to make it as clear as possible but still not spoiling.

@Quentin I think you need to explain exactly what the new mechanics are in the new mode. There are tiles that add light sprites to the new cavern, that are unexplained. The mechanic of combining the items to complete the mission is not explained. The new tiles are not explained.

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't want to modify the relichunt but adding modifiers would fit the vanilla game logic. I must find how diffucult it is to do but I can definitly try.

Just want to say thank you for this mod. These assignments are a lot of fun and pretty creative. Would it be possible to get some of the mechanics seen in your assignments added as run modifiers for relic hunt?

Well, those mods are pending updates, so incompatibility may not be long lasting. Besides, hydra launcher was added to the base game. It wont be relevant anymore, since the game already has the Missile Launcher gadget lootable item (press R to launch homing missile at random enemy).

I tested the hydra and phosphorescence domes, they dont seem to appear in game currently at all.

This mod includes the 4 guild assignments (debuged and with no visual delay). This causes the MoreGuildAssignments and this mod to be incompatible as both will try to do their stuff at the same time, which will cause weird behaviours.
For other mods, it's hard to say if they will be compatible. Please try and let me know if there is any unintended behaviour. I hope[\b] domes and combat gadgets are compatible with this mod.
