I have little actual coding experience so if I can somehow figure out how to do that, I would. But unfortunately I think that is out of my scope for the moment.
It's something I'll consider for the future if it's possible.
The two Loaches I've only kept in Garbage Wastes due to the appearance of rotted ones in Infected Wastes while the singular Outer Expanse Rain Deer was just a fun idea of one somehow getting lost from Farm Arrays by wandering too far.
it would also be cool if rain deer spawned in another region
I've definitely been wanting to put more Stowaways in sneaky places across the regions, so I'll look into finding some fair places in Shaded to put them next update.
It's tricky to find regions where Rain Deer fit and work, so at the moment the only new one added is in Outer Expanse.
(Though it's a bit buggy atm and I'm trying to fix its behavior for how it navigates that map next update too)
Can't give an ETA on when that will be though.
in that case I’m fine with rain deer spawns
Nope! It's the jungle/ruins region that is exclusive to Survivor, Monk, and Gourmand. West of Subterranean and Farm Arrays.
You're thinking of Outer Rim from The Watcher which IS infested with The Rot.
I do currently have some mud in some parts of the map, I might consider it!
They have a chance to randomly spawn as Sand Worms as well, so listen for that rattling.
Yeah, they're a bit finnicky, cause they caused a freeze on my end. https://pastebin.com/G3n7JLKu
I'll consider it. There isn't really anywhere else they fit however without making some potentially wonky scenarios in Rivulets campaign.
Remember that the mod isn't meant to be fully lore friendly, just to make sure that every slugcat can encounter the spawns. If they bother you too much, you can always blacklist them with the "KeepThatAwayFromMe" mod.
(This mod already adds other non-lore friendly spawns like two Rubicon lizards in regular regions after all.)
No plans to edit rooms that drastically besides to add food, mud, or rot spores.
The most I will do is add new music triggers.
