The warning is because the authors want to hide whatever is in their code. So they precompiled it instead of distributing the source like non-suspicious mods. It's completely reasonable for the game to flag that as suspicious. Personally, I also think that's suspicious.

That doesn't necessarily mean there's anything malicious going on, but the game has absolutely no way of knowing that.

I did actually look inside using a decompilation tool, though. The entire mod is in there. Nothing jumps out at me, but I haven't looked at most of the code.
