I suspect that there may have been a change in the building judgment after the update. In the past, the construction conditions for a giant warehouse were that there were 3X3 supports on all four corners. Although the construction conditions have not changed now, using only 4 3X3 blocks to support the bottom will result in the problem of not being able to connect to the road. It is necessary to have supports in all the grids below to connect to the road properly.
Of course, this is just the result of my own attempt. If possible, you can also try it out and see if the result is the same as mine.
The old method of building ladders through the giant warehouse does not connect any more. In other words, the only way these mods work now is to have only one of them, built on a platform, with a ladder in the middle instead of a platform. 48 platforms, 1 ladder in middle works to get up into it.
The only way I could get to stack them is to sandwich a layer of platforms in between. So it goes platforms with ladder -> warehouse -> platforms -> platforms with ladder -> warehouse ... and so on upward. with external ladders connecting into to those platform with ladder layers. chaotic... but its a workaround =)
That's also why it can be connected when built second, as the first one has already provided all the support.
Just found this thread and I've discovered its the top option, but the arrow facing the other way. You need to support the block the arrow is pointing away from.
