Well I was playing as Sauron, and some how got assassinated. Being A Maia Sauron could not be killed. I'd say rather have assassination events that manage to succeed cause a major debuff to the character while your physical body regenerates.

For example all stats temporarily being reduced by 75% prowess and dread reduced to zero.

And possible fracturing of your realm with the exclusion of your dejure capitol
