HELP! CV changed to BA, when leaving warp
I run a dedicated RE2 server through Steam on Windows, for friends only.
I was cruising in my capital (built the RE2 server) (with an SV inside).
I warped to several systems without issues.
When I warped to the last system, I was told I had a loose ship inside, so I left my seat to check.
I then got catapulted about 12km away from the capital, just next to my SV!?!?!
I jumped into the SV and flew back to the CV, only to find out it was not a Polaris BASE?!?!?
Even though we are honered with Polaris, then everything was "access denied".
Then I went into GM and changed ownership back to me.
When I checked out the ship, thrusters were on, and everything works, BUT it's stationary, as it's now a base.
Is there ANY way I can change it back to a CV?

No but if you saved your blueprint previously you can spawn it in creative and transfer anything you need from your now base.

I ended up with giving up on it, and essentially about 10 controllers with max extenders full of stuff.
I went into admin mode and deleted the ship.
Then used admin mode to respawn from blueprint, and admin "cheat" to respawn approximately what I had lost... I guess this is one of those potential bugs there is in RE2 Beta...

It's not a bug with RE2.
In the future please report issues on GitHub though like I said this particular one isn't anything that has to do with the scenario unfortunately.

Sorry, I forgot that part about reporting.
And thanks for clearing it up about NOT being an RE2 bug.

I have no idea how that could even happen, but it sounds like some weird save game corruption.
Such a weird issue! Hope it doesn't happen again for you.

If you hadn't deleted your old ship you could have transfered your stuff to the new one.

I have had this happen to two players on my server in the past few days. In both cases their CV just turned into a BASE. I couldn't find anything in the logs to help, but it appears to be a new Eleon bug with the new version. I am yet to try and see if it can occur in Vanilla, and have no idea how to try and reproduce it. I would also suspect it to be a save game corruption issue, but knowing its happening on other servers is concerning that this is not the case...

Out of curiosity, were the players using personal blueprints, workshop items or default options? Do the CVs they are using match other in-game assets like the OPVs or the reconstructed pelacan for example?

The other players didn't have the issue. It was only me.
It was a capital using RE2 specific items.

I have 2 larger blueprints, one the USS Alabama (unlock 25 size 61 basically the Enterprise E) or Atlantis (unlock 25 size 86 Actually close to the ship from the TV series) and maybe I should spawn then into a RE2 game and see if they do this?

My ship was no way near that big, but you can try :)
Meanwhile we have reset the server, and started over, as we had a new player joining us.
Haven't gotten to the point where we build capitals yet, so don't know if it will happen again.
