Looking for the elusive Data Cores
I am trying to make the Advanced Core (Large). I can find everything else in the game so far, but I have no information on where to find Data Cores. If anyone has a lead on where to find such an item, help would be appreciated.

According to the Empyriopedia in the PDA: "Can be looted in small quantities from high tier Zirax military structures and patrol vessels."

(Ravien has done a lot of work on the PDA/Empyriopedia. You can find where to find pretty much anything in there. If you're not in-game, you can also read the entire PDA at Empyrion Buddy here: https://empyrionbuddy.com/pda )

Toveras can net you around 3 on average, doing sector command can get you 5, just remember to talk to the commander near the end and not off him reflexively.

you can also get one data core for turning in a one of the three sets of cards, forgive me, i forget which set, but i have 6 of the things from that silly card stuff.

also its a little confusing that to get that information you can't simply search from the default empyrion buddy reforged eden 2 page that comes up, i guess its defaulting to items?, you have to select pda first. at least the page i got from searching lacked the "where to find" portion.
