CV not docking to Carrier FIXED
In RE2 Dec 23 version, All of a sudden my salvage CV (private) won't dock to my carrier CV (private). This was working a few days ago. I had taken my salvage CV around the starting system to gather and do the first Project Eden survey mission. Now, I'm stuck.

The Salvage CV landing gear are not damaged and they are deployed fully. When I land on the carrier, I don't hear the docking sound. Also, nothing is damaged on either ship. I haven't made any mods to either ship recently.

I've tried revalidating, rebooting, revalidating, going back to an old save, etc. Just don't want to go too far back savewise if possible.

Any ideas are appreciated. Console command? Etc...

Simple question.... Do you have anything already docked to your CV that you are trying to dock to your carrier CV (SV/HV?) if so this will prevent it from docking. You must undock everything from the CV before trying to dock to your carrier first, then dock any SV's or HV's to your carrier. You haven't mentioned this step in your diagnostics/tests before suggesting possible bug in the scenario with docking.

I will try undocking all my other ships and try with just the two CVs

That fixed it. I had one of my HVs parked inside the salvage CV. Moved it to the carrier.

Whenever people complain of not being able to dock CV to CV, the first thing anyone should be looking at is if they already have anything already docked to the CV they are trying to dock. 99% of the time this is the root of the issue. Best way to describe it is Imagine the Russian dolls that you find, where each one is nestled inside the next, and so on. That's what most people are trying to do with CV docking in EGS. It cannot be done. You can only have one layer of docking. You can have multiple vessels docked to the carrier vessel, but nothing docked inside of the vessels you are trying to dock to the carrier (hope that all makes sense!)

Got it! I've been playing Empyrion for 8 years. I just forgot about my HV. Duh on my part!
