Nerf to Drone Space not disclosed. Sucking the fun out of the game
It appears there was a major nerf to Drone space. I just took down a capacitor swarm matrix, which for anyone that has done it, it is a mess to do. with all the additional harvesters and scouts surrounding it, the darkness and difficulty seeing this encounter is just not fun. when you scan/radar there is too many things on the screen it blocks visibility of what you are trying to aim at.(shield gens/ cores) if yo remove the UI overlay with F6 you can not see your shield status or the status of the Matrix. the addition of the drone bays inside this matrix now just adds another 10 things on the screen. though they are of no real threat they make the encounter miserable with the inability to see what you are really trying to do.

After finally dealing with all that and a friendly nullifyer that came to say hello, i was excitedly leaving my ship to loot. i came here with a core7, not wanting to do planet side poi's to get progen frags for the sup cores. decided to get aux cores first.

and, Bam, the fun has been sucked out. it was not worth the effort. you usd to get a ton of good usable loot. included hundreds of drone parts form all these ships as well as the matrix itself. it used to have 8 containers that gave core parts and CPU's you could salvage along with a decent amount of fuel to take. This was a disappointing, suck the fun out of the game result. Even the harvesters no longer have any drone parts, just a harvest container lol. its as if they would have not controlling AI managing that machine.

ninja nerfs are one thing, or ninja buffs to make combat in drone space even more miserable that it was due to viability, now slashing the loot.. man not cool.

Hi Rav, yes on a server they has all generic settings. It's def a rebuild of the poi issue

The containers inside the 8 small turret pods are not the same. Only 2 had drone parts the others were generic ore boxes. The matrix itself uses to have cpu extenders which are also gone . The attached two harvesters ships used to give good loot which is gone. And the surrounding. Swarm of static additional random harvester and scouts also have generic ore boxes in them.

This on top of the shield pen is just not fun. I enjoy pushing content with bare minimum as a challenge but man. Should feel rewarding

Unless the server owner need to enable certain things. This is default settings. I can verify. Small streamer called TFS. I jumped in to help guide. Having done everything on the old no man's land sever/sleepers.

Yeah the small ships do have drone parts, just not many.
And the reason I asked about server is because a lot of servers either change things or are running an out of date build of the scenario.

Shield penetration for example was heavily reduced in one of the last updates.

I will ask to verify and get back to you Rav. I'll also spin up a single player version and gm fly over and check out a swarm matrix see if it's diff. Was just odd that two had core loot and the rest had diff loot boxes. Names were diff as well for the crates

so i did just what i said. I am in single player RE 2 Beta game.
performed a Sector teleport to a M2-Drone space. did and Ents command and tt to the capacitor swarm matrix.

it has the same issue.
some of the boxes are "cargo boxes"
others are reinforced loot ocntainers.

looks like an error when they did a pass on this poi. unless it was intentional. same with the harvesters etc surrounding it. this is one of the reasons for lack of proper loot.

also the matrix has zero CPU's in there. just the three cores. they all used to have 4 you could salvage for parts.

So I went through all of the drone space pois. Alot have this issue where some of the boxes that used to have core loot don't.

Some of the drone POIs in RE1 were a bit overtuned in how many processors they gave. Also they had so many little boxes that it was a pain to loot them all.
In RE2 I lowered the number of processors you generally got from them but also took out some of the little boxes so you didn't have to spend 20 minutes hunting down every box.
But at the same time there are now more variety of drone content, so there's some easier and some harder POIs to face. It's going to generally be a lot easier to get processors in RE2 than in RE1, but it may take you longer to get them.

The no man's land server had put RE1 capacitor matrixes into their "RE2" server. I would say your experience on TFS' server is your first actual time in RE2.

They made a lot of custom changes to the scenario. So basically nothing that happens on that server has any bearing to RE2.
