"Each Pukwudgie Chieftain designates a pniese. These men are the representative of their chief and function as his eyes and ears. They are sent out to deliver sensitive messages, collect taxes and enforce oaths. They're not exceptional leaders but are known to lead small warbands on dangerous missions.
After their promotion they're sent into the wilderness for training. Expected to endure any pain unflinching; they're the closest a Pukwudgie gets to being brave. Often declared impossible to kill, but this might just be Pukwudgie guile."
"The Sagamore are elected war chiefs tasked with leading war parties during conflicts. Elected by the female elders they hold limited political power. Unlike most warriors they don flexible yet protective armor created from woven wicker."

The Pukwudgie are small porcupine people. They prefer to skulk in the shadows, aided by their night vision, but struggle to see in the daylight. Pukwudgie will never choose to fight fair and will lie and cheat for any advantage. They avoid open combat and would rather hide in their forts or in the shadows."
"Pukwudgie are very fond of tricks. They love luring travelers into traps with lights in the distance. A Will o' the Wisp is such a llight. It's a glowing sphere that looks like a light from a bright lantern. In combat it glows with great intensity, burning anyone nearby. It is very difficult to hit a Will o' the Wisp in combat due to its great speed and small size. They will appear at the edges of the battlefield to aid the caster in battle."
