A small user review on Kitsune Village
Hi, me again, sorry to bother.

Still on my Kitsune village run, and I have a very important question : is it normal that the Tamamo no Mae domain from the otherworld keeps guaranteeing Grand Noah ? Because if yes, that makes expansing a LOT more difficult, on account of Alt!Tamamo being one of the top great powers. I have to consol command into her to make her stop guaranteeing Grand Noah if I want to make any progress. By now I'm a great power too, but GN + its allies + Great Power N°2 is still way too much.

If the aim is to make it so Kitsune can take control of Grand Noah before Tamamo no Mae Domain can interact, that's ... well, logistically impossible. I don't think you can generate enough admin mana to manage all that territory in that timeframe.

Speaking of, I regularly face coring costs above 100, like 120 to 130 is pretty much average, that's pretty painful. I only manage that because I have a mod to buy mana points.

So in short, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take my time (at which point GN would gobble up the smaller powers around it and close up any avenue of expansion for me) or blitz (at which point I simply do not have the manpower, gold and admin mana generation to actually blitz)

Also, the mission 'Foothold in Iliasburg' vassalizes the Kitsune Taoists and Geishas, but by now (1607) they have both been gone so long that their cores expire in 4 and 8 years, respectively. And considering they are 3 province minors, I don't see how they can actually survive without player intervention. Which is not possible due to logistics.

Just to clarify, because I realize this looks entirely negative : I am still very much having fun. The Grand Noah part of the MT feels impossible only because Tamamo no Mae domain comes in from the other world to guarantee them, but once that's removed it's perfectly doable, even with their allies.

I like the racial ideas groups, they add a new layer of flexibility and originality. The option to unlock them with the integration decision is also original and very welcome, I only wish it also integrates the cultures, kind of like with the Mughal mechanic in vanilla EU4 (granted, I am an absolute simp for that mechanic, so take my opinion with a Grain of Salt, yes the caps were intentional).

I do not mean this comment as a bash, only as user return. I know making a total conversion mod is far, far from easy, it's an enormous undertaking. I wouldn't be able to make something of that size. So thank you for all your work.

Regarding Tamamo no Mae guaranting Grand Noah this one wasn't really intended, but to be honest it's not a big threat since travel time between two worlds is very slow. It is taking more then 2 years, except for Hellgondo Tartarus and Puppeteer Tower connections. She just won't have time to make any difference.
There also was a known bug with Noah continent uncolonized province in Tartarus and Iliasburg region number of provinces, have fixed them in a new update.
Hope you were having fun playing other nations as well, I appreciate your review.

Good to know ! I'll probably start a new playthrough with another nation fairly soon, Probably Demon Lord domain. I may or may not want to force vassalize Illias.

Also, I absolutely have to re-emphasize that point : the new culture groups are crazy innovative and add a frankly amazing degree of flexibility, I love them.
