for some odd reason the ragdolls sometimes get up midair

There's no exception in the code for Barnacles, so when you shoot them, they cause errors and just disappear or bug out. In rare cases they become unkillable.
VJ Base npcs are bugged (they flicker and they can still attack, this requires some tinkering to make them think they're reloading, for reference check harion's stun and death animations)

Not anymore I think
Ragdolls can get up mid air
if you shoot ragdolled npcs in the head they dont die instantly, they enter in reagdoll death state and you'd have to shoot them again in the head for them to instantly die
