When I first got my Forges of Nuln quest I saw it had a 1000 day deadline so put it on the backburner to do a more pressing quest.
When I finally got around to doing the forges of Nuln quest I noticed there was no marker. But looking it up I saw there is supposed to be a giant Chaos marker on the map, I zoomed out and scrolled around the map 3 or 4 times without seeing it.
I also saw a console command reccomended that might help and tried that with cheats enabled but nothing changed.

And then finally I saw that the marker could despawn if you save and reload. But unfortunately because I put it on the back burner I have saved and reloaded already, and I dont have a save from before I accepted the quest.

Have I locked my self out of the forges of Nuln?
