Feedback on the balance of some things
Thanks for the fantastic mod. I use it along with a few QoL mods and there wasn't a single crash.
Made two long runs - as a Witch Hunter and a Bright Wizard. The careers are well thought out and really help with replayability.

The balance is generally fine, but the following things were consistent across two playthroughs:

- Bretonnian factions constitently lose land to all Vampires, Elves and Empire. Even the fact that the lords of the destroyed factions join the remaining ones doesn't help. Castle Bastonne lost in both playthroughs.

- Sylvania (other Vampires too, but not that much) snowballs. As a Witch Hunter, I put an Axe to this. The whole world hated me for it. It's somewhat fitting and there should be price to pay, but I'd like to be able to execute without such a relationship penalty, balanced maybe with the high resource / skill costs involved. So that you have to really prepare, and not just chop off a vampire's head.
On the second playthrough I left Sylvania alone and the two imperial provinces are gone already.
On a side note, vampires are really hard to fight against and I like this.

- Hersdtones/Slaver camp/Chaos portal spawn an infinite number of raiders and the villages adjacent to them are practically doomed (poor Muret for example).
I know I can attack them and temporarily stop the raiders. I like this mechanic, the sense of progression in the fight against the raiders.
However, there really actually *a lot* of these raiders. Until you can temporarily shut down their spawn (which is a big big battle), you have only one way to stop attacks on villages: attack the raiders parties, who appear constantly.
Yes, a determined player can do this and actually farm a lot from it.
But lords can't. A player can't be everywhere at once. Also, the heavily damaged villages became victims of smaller bandit parties (Ungors for example).
As a result, the map has a lot of villages that are constantly destroyed and towns that are constantly starving.
For example, Carroburg has 4 villages and all of them are toast. The player can babysit these villages and raise them even from zero, but again - the lords can't.

- Friendly wizards are really annoying to play with. I micromanaged their fire, but they constantly miss, even in good conditions. Things are even worse with buffs and debuffs. I understand that giving complete control over their attacks would be too powerful and would take away from the point of playing as a wizard. But I'd like to have some tactical behaviour options, like they had in Dragon Age, at least for non-attack spells.
There is an exception though - Celestial Wizard and his Iceshard blizzard. He just casts this thing at the very beginning of the battle on spawned enemy, he doesn't even need to see the enemies. And then he repeats. This guy got 150 kills while attacking the Chaos Portal.
And Vampire lords used something like this on my troops.

- I'm constantly out of Prestige. At first I attributed this to my special Witch Hunter troops eating too much, but the problem was the same with Wizard run. So, as a mercenary, I constantly fight with various bandits and enemy lords, I do not suffer large losses, but I have a full army of Tier 4 troops, because I do not have the prestige to promote them.
You might say that there are special orders in Altdorf.
First, it seems very unnatural that these special orders are needed just to promote my troops. When I really need a lot of prestige — for artillery, okay, that makes sense. But just for normal fighting, it doesn't make sense.
Second, I made several orders and eh, prestige still vent out of the window very quickly.
Only by making all my infantry Bretonnians I managed to somewhat maintain the prestige necessary to promote the gunners and cavalry.

- Artillery's rate of fire is insane. Yes, it took a lot of effort to get it, but it’s still just too much.

They are meant to, the clans of the faction that gets destroyed joins another bretonnian kingdom until they are "united".

The snowball depends per PT and goes for a number of factions, not unique to VC, and executions is vanilla behavior, we have not touched it and since it unbalances our campaign, see no need to at this moment.

The new update will balance this out with the addition of new factions.

Lords can also deal with the roaming bandits, and its an easy party for the player to "farm" with in the absence of quests.

Sorry but this isnt dragon age, bannerlord AI is limited in what is capable, but we are looking into some things to make them more useful and less prone to self destruction. Same for their long distance casting.

In the future most troops will require their own culture resource because bretonnians wont follow empire culture lords and vice versa, thats just how warhammer works, they all hate eachother.

Empire culture has several ways of aquiring prestige, the most out of all cultures.

We know, they also have unlimited shots.

Thanks for your reply. I'll clarify the two issues I'm encountering as I continue playing.

What I'm saying about raiders...Yes, lords can intercept raiding parties. But ultimately, it's a net loss for them. For every party destroyed, a new one will soon arise, and the lords cannot attack their main base. Thus, the lord intercepts 1-2-3 parties, then goes to replenish, then is distracted by some war...The result is that there really are a lot of permanently destroyed villages on the map.

I took aforementioned Carroburg and growing its villages from scratch, safeguarding them from literally any bandit party was a real challenge. I enjoy this challenge, but I can't be everywhere on the map. It turns out that significant parts of the map just unsalvageable.

Even as a vassal and constantly fighting, I still have problems with prestige. It costs a hell of a lot to gather even a couple dozen cavalry, and I hope this well-connected nobleman didn't drink away all the millions I gave him...

As the map grows that will also lessen as there will be more downtime between wars, we could also look at the interval of when they spawn.

speaking on the terms of balance (and this may very well be anecdotal), it feels like Empire lords struggle with upgrading their troops to higher tiers. Yes, conflicts are frequent and bloody, but in my game, Reikland (the faction i am part of) has had several periods of relative peace. We are the largest and most powerful Empire faction (the others having been mostly eaten by Elves or Vampires) and yet friendly lords' armies are like 80%-90% Empire Recruits. I've been keeping on top of patrolling our interior lands and keeping raiders and smaller deserter and Ungor parties in check and our villages protected, but constantly my fellow nobles have difficulty mustering higher tier troops. Do they have to worry about prestige, too? I am no mod developer or anything like that, I just wanted to ask and offer feedback from what my experience has been so far. I love the mod, I've just found this one thing strange.

It works, thank you.

UPD: now it's full AI armies of elite. It's definitely better than AI armies full of recruit , but when you have to gather a special resource bit by bit to upgrade your army, it's a bit awkward.
