really sucks this is so irredeemable. i bet killing the deserter leader would calm the empire down, i was a double agent all along.
Maybe if I get better at modding, I can make my own mod.
Hella late to the party, but there is an option to switch sides. If you get far enough along the Deserter questline (I believe after killing the Duke is when you start getting this), you'll get a join offer from the Empire after every successful assassination. You get a lump sum of honor and some other goodies, and the empire stops hating you, but you become permanently hostile with the Deserters, who send a raid in retaliation for you betraying them.
Oo, I didn't know that. That still defeats the purpose (the irredemmiable-ness of the actions) but I like there's a failsafe halfway into their questline.
this is not truth, I had that quest, and accept imperial offer.
but the mod doesn't care. Relationships still remain hostile. The faction window still shows the maximum relationship of -100. No debug mod or save editing test can fix this. And the funniest thing is that the deserter faction is supposed to raid you in retaliation. BUT the Imperial faction flies in for retaliation. This is just idiocy
