About 2h ago, i played through the default L4D2 campaign, i was on Dark Carnival and i was playing Single player. during my game play, i noticed the bots were NOT shooting or shoving the zombies.

i thought they just maybe had run out of ammo, so i stopped by an ammo pile and to my surprise, they did not pick any ammo up.

i then decided to restart the campaign using the restart option, i exited the safer oom and still the bots would NOT shoot or shove the infected.

i KNOW they have ammo in there guns. i thought maybe this was the cause of an add on, so i disabled all my add ons and restarted the game, played through almost all the campaigns, then suddenly the bots would NOT shoot again or shove.

i did the same thing, i made sure they had ammo, and i even restarted, left the safe room, but nope, they still would NOT shoot. i then varified my files and so far this seems to have fixed it. but im worried this might happen again.

since i was not recording, i managed to find a youtube video of the bug that someone else had encountered

has anyone else had this issue? and if so, does anyone know the cause of it?

question for you, when this bug happens, have you by chance thrown a pipe bomb outside the saferoom door and then instantly closed the door to load the next level before the pipe bomb has blown up?
