Bots just wont pick up any throwables besides pipebombs, they also just constantly pick up melees, I tried to fiddle with this for like an hour and it just doesn't seem to work, the first version is just a bit more consistent with that

i swear, the bots are very dumb on some tough situations, they dont retrive me first when i vs other bot incapped. Maybe i need a guide how to config them here.

@MrCannon Your situation could be improve by adding some stuff into the convars like bot's reaction time. Check out the "Guide to Make Survivor Bots Pro" in the discussion and read the comments make by the people in there.

Hey is there a config to prevent the bots to force heal players? Sometimes when I'm incapped, the bots will try to heal me instead of helping me up

I have a question: is it possible to manually make the bots scavenge a gas can for a generator\vehicle in custom maps? Or in other words, make them interact with an object while holding the gas can and not dropping it?

I know that there are addons to make the bots automatically complete custom maps and ones that supposedly make the bots try to scavenge a gas can on command, but for some custom maps, these addons won't work (Inferno City, one of the Chapters of White Forest, Journey to Splash Mountain, etc.).

If it isn't possible in current versions of this mod, I'd be happy if this were a possibility in future updates.

@o0Dragon King0o I do apologize for the misclarification on what I meant by "prioritize". I meant to say for example, Francis and Coach prefer to use shotguns. So in their weapons file, I change their weapon preferences to whatever weapon I put first (e.g I put every assault rifles and DMR's first in Francis weapon preference file while putting spas and the auto shotgun below that). So obviously, they should prioritize grabbing that weapon I preferenced instead of grabbing the auto shotgun (it's always the auto shotgun for some reason). I also never thought to use the "use" command, nor did I think I could put weapons in the "items to avoid" file. You definitely gave me some new insight.

@fortminor56 I have to ask what exactly do you mean by "prioritized." The weapon file are their standard weapon preferences without any other command during gameplay. You can also do the "use" command, which overwrite their weapon preferences in a game in progress; And "items to avoid" file should be all the mean to change their weapons behavior.

I prioritized the bots to use 1 specific weapon (military rifle). For some reason 1, or 2 bots don't even grab said weapon, instead they only go for either the auto shotgun, or what ever weapon I prioritized in the weapons file. What's even weirder is when I changed the prioritization for 2 bots to use the hunting rifles, and 2 others to use AK47's. 1 bot doesn't even pick up the AK47, or the hunting rifle. Again, they only pick up the auto shotgun or what ever weapon I prioritized.

@alpha 144 this mod don't change what survivors you get on a campaing it only add features to the AI, and the AI itself is kinda unrelated to each bot apart from their preferences/personality.

In custom maps where is a custon enemy or boss, the bots never aim or even recognise the enemy. What exactly happens in there and if it is possible to make some settings in order for the bots to recognise the enemy. Unless it is a map specific trait in which, the map maker never focused on bots support(even without the mod)

Can't do Chaos Generator with Left 4 Bots 2 (they all converge on the generator closest to bridge then return) while it's possible with Left 4 Bots 1. What did go wrong?

So, apparently, there are different versions of bots, I think.

The bots you describe sound like the bots that map creators usually use to just make them speak dialogue (like in Lockdown), but these bots can start to play the game if you figure out how to, which, in the case of Lockdown, is a simple teleport to the players; however, these bots can't be commanded.
The 4 extra bots from Rayman's Together We Stand Mod are somewhat broken when used with Left4Bot, as they don't follow the weapon preferences sometimes; however, they can be commanded.
The last extra survivor mod I know is Survivor Manager, which I am pretty sure spawns the real bots, since these bots don't have any issues (unless you spawn too much) and can be commanded. The downside is you have to do a few things to set it up, while the other two just need you to click the green button on Workshop.

@pemarces what Does this is the variable. Sb_all_bot_game 1.
Go to you l4d2 installation folder find a ems folder (the mod configuration folder) open the files of the left 4 bots and all comanda you see about sb all bot game change the 1 to 0 (don't remove the command just change the number) then a game with all bots would not be allowed and would be the same as it was without the mod.
