With communications, it's that the notes in there are supposed to tell someone who didn't think of it to hop through the storage window, and I just thought of adding rats as an extra incentive to go find the lighter.
The sound effects on the doors I agree, the sliding doors SHOULD have sound effects, but as standard they don't, I guess in the main game they didn't bother since in the prison they ended up being static doors.
And with that hallway I definitely shot myself in the foot - I just wanted to add more use to the cutters, but then put the chain on the wrong side from where you get the cutters, practically just making it that dead end for the entire game unless you wanted to waste time opening it for no reason,
