How to leave a vehicle if the caravan is attacked?
My vehicle caravan was attacked, the local map loaded with everyone inside a car, and I wasn't able to figure out, how to make them leave it, so that they'd be able to defend themselves.

Is there a way to do it (if so, how?) or was my only option running the enemies over?

I switched to helicopters not long after, and never had to deal with caravan attacks again, so not really.

However, I suspect one, at least: To leave a vehicle, you need to stop it, and turn the engine off, which I might not have done, it could be that.

Turn it off and then tell them to leave.
