Id also like to know this. But i dont think this one will receive an answer but just in case ill post a message here so i get tagged if and when someone answers

There's a separate Vehicle Caravan option if you click on your colony from the world map.
Make sure the vehicle(s) you want to use can actually path out of the map, and at the moment pawns riding in vehicles can't sleep in bedrolls. They also don't seem to sleep automatically either. (Unless there's something I'm missing there)

I figured it out and just forgot about this post xD the whole secret was to click your settlement xD Thanks!

My caravan wont leave my settlement, how do vehicle caravans work?

Sometimes they cant find the exit if there is a lot of objects/trees around your base. if you click on force leave(or what ever its called) sometimes it shows a line where its trying to go to and you can manually move it there and click force leave again
