I am looking into how to fix this. The ideal would be to have the symbiophore seek a better temperature, or, have a biological adaptation to lower temperatures which renders them vulnerable but living until about -11.
Seems like a fix right before release made symbiophores not recognize their own moods.
So mood remains at 50% and psychic emanation is only the lowest levels 1-3 mood improvement.
This we assure you is a bug. A happy creature should provide steady mood benefits greater than +9.
Also, mood affects silk production so, this is much lower than it should actually be.
Don't worry a fix is on the way. Thanks for your patience!
