If with screenshots, very helpful.
If it happens whole area under that glass dome, show me more screenshots about your station.
I tested same structure window, 1x1 slope and flats holded with neon tubes, based on your picture.
It caused by a gap between 1x1 slope windows( as what i tested ). And, actual trace point of character located on left side hipe(a bit off from body polygon). Those things causes that bug at weird pos.
I can not solve gaps between windows, I will look into what I can.

If so, is there any chance you could add a configurable variable to the calculation such as MaxDamageRange, such that any character within that range will receive normal max damage but it would be reduced at greater range? Like damage_cur / ( Distance_to_Star / MaxDamageRange ) ^ 2. People could configure it for infinite distance if they like gimmicks or factor in more realistic behavior for hard core survival
