Ok, it looks like the Corpse Cooking Pit does pretty much the same thing as the corpse furnace, but it doesn't require power, and isn't a cannibalism thing (I thought it was based on the name). I guess I can deal with that.

There's quite a bit of changes to the Build / Research menu due to the sheer amount of stuff you're able to unlock. It may have been moved to a different submenu (use the arrows on a particular device to swap variants in the Build Menu). I don't remember exactly where the Furnace is located, but I know it exists *somewhere* lol.

I very rarely build bases so I'm probably the wrong person to ask, as I mostly use the Camping tab for my various nomad outposts.
