It's particularly tricky trying to get all territories to confederate with you before the NZ company shows up, I found little things like speed-running prestige by expanding the army early on so I can flip the decision to 90% in favour is pretty much essential since my GDP growth is always slow with the initial pops (thanks again for the other mod you made for military wages that helps with that), but the cooldown on offering other Iwi the option to join does make it a sprint against the British (I'm sure that's by design and does do a good job at modelling how tricky organising a nationwide union of all the tribes would have been).
Also found that starting with less tech makes those first couple of research items very important. I really enjoy the scale of playing a small country where I can keep track of everything, but I would absolutely love some guidance on starting with UNT to get the most out of the experience.
Thanks again for all the hardwork that went into this mod, I've racked up at least a hundred hours playing a single nation trying to nail this, it's become a bit of a personal project.
