AC One-Shot #009 - Peak Performance
From a faraway land arrives a menacing entourage of thugs as their leader ascends snowy peaks for a renewal of ancient power - but the wardens of the peak are set to intervene!

This is the ninth 'official weekly one-shot' style scenario from AC. You can choose which if any / all of the conditions you'd like to fulfill for personal challenge levels / bragging rights / etc.!

Villain: The Chairman
Environment: The Temple of Zhu Long
Heroes: Akanami, Lao Feng, Kain, Inari

Challenges:
* Advanced, Challenge or Ultimate Mode The Chairman
* Kain banishes a Shinobi Assassin and one of Chairman's Thugs in the same turn
* Kain destroys three targets with one Cleave Through
* Inari defeats The True Form with Cleave the Heavens
* Akanami wipes out The Chairman and The Operative during the same start of her turn
* Lao Feng prevents a Prison Break with Penitent Perusal
* Akanami defeats The Fence and a Thief by destroying a piece of equipment in the process
* Inari defeats two or more targets in one turn with Divine Rain
* Akanami destroys a teammate's equipment with Get Smashed, Idiot! then gives it back to them with Taking Stock
* Akanami interrupts the Resurrection Ritual or Rites of Revival with Make an Entrance

I got closer to winning than I had any right to, given that I forgot how the Chairman works and had Kain banish multiple underbosses, leaving me to suffer several turns worth of damage while waiting for him to flip. I also got greedy leaving the Mysterious Ceremonies in play to dig for cards related to the bonus objectives and got hammered by The True Form.

Overall, I like Kain's and Lao Feng's designs quite a bit, and they both had some really useful tech for this matchup in particular; Inari's engine never really started turning over, and Akanami felt... decent but unexceptional.

I *did* manage:
-Banishing an assassin and a thug in the same turn
-Interrupting the Resurrection Ritual with Make an Entrance

...but since I lost the game, I definitely feel like this One-Shot isn't in the collection yet, as it were. I may try it again later, but I still haven't seen Antiquarian or Sirocco, so the next thing to try would probably be the one that features them.
