I'm assuming the bog standard save editor will break the save.
I've heard you get the chance to respec later in the mod, but at this point I've mismanaged three characters in a way that'd require all three of them to be respecced.
This is a result of the spell school system which while neat just compounds a problem the base game also had, in that you only learn fairly late what level of magic you need for certain spells, at which point you're very likely too late to course correct a caster and won't be able to use them at all. Adding the school system on top of this, I've basically got three characters with 5+ points put somewhere borderline ustless.
