Suggestions
More than Ashes has gotten a lot of love from the people using it so far. It will never be a big mainstream mod, and I never intended it to be. But those of you who were looking for just this sort of thing have shown great interest and optimism. I am just the one guy, and I already am working on an update to MTA, but if you have any suggestions or citicisms, post them here and I'll see what can be done about it.

Couple of ideas;
- instead of harvesting directly from corpses, maybe use a building? This way you can use ideology to add styles that would reskin it for different playthroughs and themes (sci-fi, magic, eldritch horror, etc).
- VPE integration submod? it would be great to get a specific 'themed' psycast tree that only mutants could use... as well as a unique meditation foci to play into this cool aesthetic you have going on
- maybe optional integration with other 'cosmic horror' themed mods?

@shane_357 I have been thinking about adding in actual ideology integration. That feature has been cut to speed up release. I'm not thinking of anything overly complicated for now, but just some meme and precept perhaps. As for the building-styles I'd have to take out my whip and put my artist to work :p. VPE integration is also something I plan to add at some point if time permits. Abilities in general have been a long-standing goal.

in the immediate non-theoretical future (lol) I plan to release periodic updates to expand upon lackluster descriptions. I also will add a raid-like event featuring the first Entropic Horrors :). The art-style is alrdy drawn, just have to make it happen.

If you want to make it easier to make ideology content, you could just patch it onto the Eldritch or Esoteric structures in VIE: Memes and Structures, use what's already there and all.

@shane_357 those are the obvious candidates :p I'll likely try just that. I've not fooled around with ideology yet, will have to check what makes it tick ^^

lovee this mod it's right up my alley, VPE integration would be amazing!

I have a pawn with all 3 stalker parts, but I didn't really feel threatened by the OGF affliction throughout the entire process :c
I more or less just ignored that pawn while he went through the mutation process and let him do his own thing until his condition stabilized. It didn't really feel like he was constantly at death's door or at any real risk of something bad happening. Maybe make OGF a little bit more severe, or at least last longer?

Also, quests? more events? those would be neat(:
I'm looking forward to those entropic horrors!

@Sharpie me and CJ are working on something in that department ^^ Might be a little way off though. Also I find it strange you "barely noticed" OGF. The first one will make ur pawns psychotic in the later stages, as for the other two, they tend to make your pawn extremely weakened. Should they get hurt at this point, they'd likely die. OGF-2 makes pawns useless for 5 days give or take, during which they will be highly vulerable, requiring doctor/nurse care, and you can make that 6 days for OGF-2A. Would you perhaps be using custom races that have enhanced metabolism - stats? Because for regular humans the procedure is rather deadly. Now I never wanted to make this a "dumb luck RNG" mod. If you follow all guidelines, your pawns should survive the 3 implantations.

(5 days of weakened bed-rest) x 3 = 15 days of downtime / pawn. Add to this the fact that you'll have to go through the grind of acquiring soul shards and mature entromorphs... I believe that's restrictive enough, any more might turn it into a slog.

Next time u implant a pawn, keep a close eye on his vitals, you'll see how severe it hits vitals :)

i definitely noticed the mental breaks lol he was having them 1-2 times a day
I'm not using any custom races, he's a regular vanilla pawn with only a few brain implants from royalty.
I must've missed the effects on his vitals, I'll pay more attention to that next time! We got raided during the middle of his OGF-1 affliction & he was on a mental break so he didn't participate in the fight.. Maybe that was for the best, sounds like he could've died very easily

Hey also, on the main screenshot on the workshop page there's some pawns with red eyes and blackened skin.. is that supposed to happen to my pawns? I have one with all 3 stalker implants & he still looks normal. I did notice a "blackening skin" negative moodlet and that looks super cool in the screenshot, was hoping the implants would eventually change my pawns like that too! hopefully I can find a mod that will let me change their skin tone and eye color

@Sharpie hehe, no, that's just a thumbnail. I've been wanting to make pawns change appearance over time, but that lies beyond my abilities. The first implementation was to make wight-status change pawns physically in something more horrible. I have yet to master C# before I can make that happen. A full Apex entropic Predator will still look like a generic pawn despite the in-game description

Idea. Having an implantation ritual for ideology. The success quality of the ritual gives the boost to the pawn actually surviving the transformation.

Going off of your idea of only having a single Apex per colony made me think of maybe a ritual where the leader to be is implanted with Apex stuff. They become the leader, if they survive, they keep on being the leader. lol

@mynameactually that's actualy a super cool idea ^^. I'd need to check out what can be done. I haven't incorporated ideology content in MTA yet, and it's high time I did :p. And as for the gene-alteration upon implantation... I honnestly don't know but I will look into it. The idea is spot on ^^ thanks for your input

I haven't yet started using the mod, and I like reading so I probably won't mind this myself, but a summary section at the start or end of descriptions of things might make the mod more accessible (assuming you want it to be). Could even come complete with a "from what we've gathered from these notes, [barest info about thing], but there might be something we missed to learn from these papers" if you wanna reward literacy enjoyers with more intricate info.

Okay that's awesome. I was just assuming things from the mod's description.
