You're not looking for a challenge, but on Bael, one click is all you need, nice :D
Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you – crises do not really have fixed endings, although the natural ending is the death of the main character. As long as Bael is alive, he will probably want to develop and eliminate sorcerers.
However, I really like your idea that there might be other, perhaps more hidden and less obvious ways to resolve the crisis ;) I must admit, though, that the crises were designed to challenge the player, which is why I looked at the matter from a different perspective.
And Bael is a demon. A peaceful solution that does not involve violence is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think about dealing with a demonic warlord ;)
I'm not saying that a peaceful solution is required and I do understand your motivation to challenge the player. Even so, it would be cool if I could just seduce Bael and his lieutenants and make them fight and kill each other over me (I don't know, maybe I'd have to be soulmates with all three or something like that, although I'm not sure it's possible). Jealousy is such a persistent factor in this game, even with Polyamory, that it's kind of natural in this situation. But if not romantic, any way to deflect the demons violent tendencies and turn them on each other would do (I mean, other than using them as agents in each other assassination that was mentioned here).
Additional ways of dealing with the problem would certainly be welcome ;)
But Bael is just one of the crises, and crises are only one of many elements of the mod. Sometimes I have to compromise and settle for generalizations - many other elements deserved deeper exploration (and they got it, to varying degrees). Every thread could be expanded almost endlessly, but the scope of the mod is so broad that at some point, I had to draw the line.
But thank you for your insight :>
