The Birds of Paradise[en.wikipedia.org] are a group of stunning animals with a range of colors and shapes. Using the Alternative Graphics system, you could easily create one Bird of Paradise Race and have all the amazing colors represented without creating multiple instances of the same bird. (If you don't know how to dfo this, I can easily show you.)
As for attacks, Birds of Paradise in "Rimworld" should go always straight for the nose. They should fly up your nose; if you don't have a defined nose, they will attack like normal, I included the obscure cultural reference to this in the video above. I know that it requires some C-Sharp, but it would be SOOOOOOO worth it. It would harken me back to my childhood, when this song was played on loop.
1. Talking birds could lower resistance in nearby prisoners. Plop your bird in your prison and lower your warden's time to recruit!
2. Talking birds could raise mood slightly in nearby humanlikes, like a 'ranged nuzzle' in addition to the bird's natural nuzzle.
3. Talking birds could potentially provide entertainment to nearby colonists. Sheesh, birb in general could provide entertainment to nearby colonists...
Might make it so that speaking requires a training, maybe Obedience or something like that.
I don't know if this is already a thing because I literally just used the mod but when drafted, the birds seem to just walk and attack targets while standing. Would be cool if they can fly while attacking a target when they are drafted. But maybe that's already a 'by chance' thing to happen idk.
I really love the mod and it's the reason I'm playing Rimworld again! Thanks!
