I wish there was a way to mess with the enemys range, but unfortunately there isnt. I will be adding larger maps and removing the smaller maps over time. Thank you.
Great to hear more big maps are on the way chief
I don't know if this is a balance problem or if it's done on purpose. Thanks!
Its done on purpose for realism, most of the eastern tanks are very vulnerable to western MBTs. All armor values are from war thunder, with the exception of the Abrams since war thunder didnt get the armor correct. Its all about finding the weak spot now instead of bringing down HP. You could hit an abrams turret frontally all day and its not gonna pen, same with a leopard 2a7. To compensate for the balance, russia has way more vehicles to choose from and tanks are significantly cheaper.
PS the T-14 still needs to be tweaked, since nobody actually knows the armor specs yet. I basically just matched the frontal turret armor to the SEPv3 for now. But the Abrams can still pen anything in game, which is very accurate.
I understand clearly. It just seemed too OP to me, I tried AI vs AI, giving OPFOR bonuses to buy the most expensive tanks (and it did)... it was not destroyed, but wiped off the face of the earth, even though BLUFOR had cheaper tanks . Mmmm I was curious to see if it was my mistake, well, thanks for the prompt response! I'll see if I can edit some values to make it more enjoyable (personally for me, not a criticism, I love this mod
No problem, thanks for the feedback! And things still may get tweaked again down the road for more balance. If you would like to change some values, they are all in the ".def" file for the vehicle.
The LAV AA's autocannons too, as their power is impressive, especially in the hands of the AI.
Question: Question abaout how the armour values works: I understand that you have different "body parts": body, turret, mantle (on some), engine, etc. But each one has 3 or 4 values between the brackets, are these related to what the 3d model of the vehicle is or is it, for example (1 2 3 4) being 1 front, 2 front side, etc?
(Sorry if I write badly, English is not my native language. I understand well but my grammar sucks)
I actually just updated all of the atgms/aa missles to a more balanced value, its a lot better now.
And as for the armor values go, its (front, side, rear, top) for turret, and then the same for body and engine. I use real life "heat resistance" values from the steel beasts simulator. Meaning how many millimetres of "heat" pen it can take before punching through. All tank guns values are real life as well.
