I have searched for about 30 minutes and cannot find an example of a canon (Like it's confirmed to exist in the lore, legends or "canon") point defense cannon, but we really need one that's 3x3x2 because the current ones stick out way too much for their size. Honestly it would be totally fine if you made a design of your own, preferably with more than 2 barrels.

Or even just use the top swiveling bit from the current laser cannon and turn it into a new 3x3x1 turret.

I would like to see some 1x1x1 turrets too

small point defense turrets that are like 1x1x1. Fast shooting but not a lot of damage so that you have both supplementary fire coming from your ship and for anti fighter and missile
