While I don't expect the mod to be perfectly balanced by any stretch of the imagination, moderate and severe issues should be addressed so that no-win and no-lose situations can be avoided.

Not sure if it is possible but have spell that interact with planes being disabled if the plane is not present in game or some kind of other check. Not a major thing mainly to prevent waste especially with longer list misclicking a invalid spell could be really spendy, Oh I suppose this is wrong place for this oh well.

Planes are always present in a given match.

This sounds like a planeswap was used at a coordinate that doesn't exist on the destination plane, which is unfortunately a problem with larger Elysium maps. I thought I got rid of all of the planeswap rituals in favor of portalroom rituals (which I didn't want to do, but it cuts down on "bug" reports).

Which class/ritual was the issue here?

P.S. This is thread is for balance discussions, not bug reports. I suppose part of that is on me for my own naming conventions.

Banes/Banelord summons from 'Thriller' continue to frustrate and cause arguments in my group due to their sheer power, and I've lost 200+ man stacks to a dozen banes, a bane lord, and some mirrors of dread due to just how long they can hold the line.

I would ask that they instead just get spectral troops, and maybe banes rarely, rather than such a chunky summon.

I would maybe say that the number of Old Man Hendersons angry old man I see, whenever an AI High Cultist is around, is a bit excessive. I swear they must be stealing every gnome in sight, and unfortunately, the old men are very efficient at grabbing every settlement on the way through.

There should only ever be one (though it is possible for him to come back if he dies). There's an argument for -hasunit 24 "Angry Old Man" (indies being the faction he spawns as part of; should probably use special monsters instead, though).

That said, how does one steal $38,000 in lawn gnomes?

Edit: This wouldn't be happening in multiplayer would it? I've seen all sorts of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in multiplayer.

Yeah, basically I find myself frequently killing one that's grabbing all my stuff only for another to emerge from the fog of war right afterwards. Having said that, there's at least an easy answer: Just kill the High Cultist!
EDIT: Haven't tried it in MP.

There's a 10% chance per turn chance of him reappearing (or at least that's how the event is written). He should only pop up once a year or so (on average).

The Monster Ant Queen ritual should be restricted to only when there is no other queen in a Myrmeke hill tile.

Fair, probably forgot about that. The ritual had another transcription error in it that needs fixed anyways. I should avoid long unit names.

It's actually cheaper to use Enchant Earth and Stone Golem (Total cost 55/55) than the Workshop Task Stone Golem (cost 60/60), with the downside being that it costs one more action point (6 instead of 5). Not sure if this is intended or unintended, balance-wise.

Again, the stone golem task is not intended to work with coal mines. It's not a huge deal, but will be corrected when I patch again.

To clarify, I mean that this means that instead of needing to build a crystal tower next to a mountain (for the workshop task) for constant access you can enchant earth (to make a coal mine) and cast the regular stone golem spell (which uses a coal mine, not a mountain). This actually ends up being cheaper and is still just as renewable, with added benefit that you also get a coal mine to get you to the required iron count faster if you aren't already at it and you don't need a specially placed tower.

Regarding balance, is it done in regards to multiplayer, or single player?
