How to customise Baator: Turning off Meteors
As there was some interest in turning off Meteors please follow the steps below:

1. find the steam mod folder for Baator: e.g.:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\2582905897

2. [Recommended] make a copy of the folder 2582905897 to:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\dev\mybaator
so that it is appears as a seperate mod entry on the Oni Mod menu.
you can identify it in the mods menu as having the word browse instead of subscribe.

3. Open the main asteroid yaml file in your favourite editor:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\dev\mybaator\dlc\expansion1\worldgen\worlds\baator.yaml

OR

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\dev\mybaator\dlc\expansion1\worldgen\worlds\baator_moonlet.yaml

4. Comment out the lines with a # character, as shown on the image below:
seasons: - MeteorShowers

Error that pops up is bad signature. I've never modded so the fault probably lies with me.

Edit: Figured it out and works! The problem did lie on my end.

iv edited both files for the moonlet and the main world but it seams to just still rain meteors on my save

I am in the same boat as you @Im_a_chicken29. I had the meteors disabled on a previous run, but due to some bugs, some of my mods had their settings reset, which apparently included Baator... @Bummins is there any way to disable Meteors on a world in a save file? I really don't want to restart, again...

I think i have found a future solution for meteors being active on a asteroid, where it shouldn't. It does however require duplicity to implement the suggestion from this issue: https://github.com/RoboPhred/oni-duplicity/issues/107. Because of that it might take a long time, before it is possible...

My advice would be to make the teleporter asteroid your main space port. such that you have to transport the good to the main starting asteroid. that's what i'm doing

i should have messaged back, iv figured out how to turn off with the save game editor but the all mighty Regolith bug is a thing for spaced out and it's worse then ever

there was a regolith bug with the vanilla game i was referring. it's an oldddddd bug that basically made it impossible to build anything in space. it got fixed tho
