Both vision modes (the thermals and the updated night vision) are from Navid A1's Reloaded, and his nightvision usually gives better results than the vanilla.

It shows vanilla vs Navid A1's Reloaded and without any vision mod.
More often than not, the landscape in the distance is well visible, but everything up close is pitch black, with weird glossy effects.
Would be nice if the Vanilla nightvision state could be restored (even if not perfect).
While thermal is unbeatable, the game kind of gets a bit boring (visually) when used all the time, so i try to switch it up
Ping me on MW5 Discord, easier that way.
Would be lovely to at least have a toggle to completely remove and revert the new nightvision back to the vanilla version as the new NV does nothing useful half the time I'd want to use it, and actively makes your vision WORSE the other half of the time. It's been very rare so far to find cases where it actually improves my ability to see things the way I'd expect night vision to work.
The vanilla unmodded NV wasn't perfect, but it at least almost always reliably improved your vision in dark environments.
The new NV often just casts surfaces in blackness and removes light levels even more instead of illuminating anything. On one mission in a dark moon environment (gray/white moon-dust terrain), all turning on the new NV did was turn the terrain pitch black and make it almost impossible to see anything at all. The only option to get through that mission was headlights or thermal at close range.
An options toggle to disable the new NV code would be great, or even maybe just making the default "N" key behavior a 3-way cycle between [Vanilla NV], [Navid A1's NV], and [Off]. Either would be great.
