From what I can recall, the station repair functionality shouldn't be affected, as you should be able to click almost anywhere in the "control room" to trigger the repair prompt. This is primarily a safety measure to prevent people from accidentally breaking the mod in their save (but obviously has potential to be cheesed, which is why we don't openly mention it in the FAQ).
As for visually replacing it, I'm honestly not sure. There is no way for a regular survival player to build the weather terminals, without use of other mods or tools.
Your best bet is probably to reset the cell/chunk with something like https://grabofus.github.io/zomboid-chunk-cleaner/
