Some weather does cause text from radios to turn "darker", as part of some vanilla(?) mechanic to emulate "bad reception" - at least from what I could tell.
I know multiplayer is a bit finnicky, and I've noticed other mods' radio text become dark aswell, so for all I know this might be a vanilla issue.
SoS only changes text color for Fault/Interruption/Failure messages which are colored Yellow and Red respectively to match the severity.
The day I posted this, it suddenly started working again. Then, it broke again, whenever I went to play with a different friend.
I believe it may just be a Zomboid issue as it is, though I do very much appreciate the response.
Host-mode MP has always had some weird issues, especially with some weird Zomboid bugs only happening to the Host exclusively (or the Client).
I wouldn't be shocked if that's the case.
This game probably has more spaghetti than Source, but at least they're cleaning up before B42 drops.
