If you do these tasks in this order, vehicles with NPC drivers should automatically spawn with background NPCs.


1. Install Decent Vehicles

2. Install a vehicle addon that is supported by Decent Vehicles. Such as SCars or simfphys.

3. Find some Decent Vehicle nodes for a map on the workshop and subscribe to them. These tell the NPCs where they can drive, and are also used by Background NPCs to determine where vehicles should spawn.

4. Load onto the map you downloaded the nodes for.

5. Enable support for Decent Vehicles by Background NPCs by opening the spawn menu, and going to options > Background NPCs > Supported Addons and enabling Decent Vehicle support
by clicking the box by "Enable "DV" Support" so it displays a check mark in the box.


Assuming all steps where completed correctly NPC controlled vehicles should spawn in your map automatically. If you don't care about them spawning automatically, skip step 5 and spawn vehicles manually by spawning a vehicle then spawning a driver on the door of the vehicle you spawned. The driver NPCs are located under GreatZenkakuMan's NPCs, in the NPC section of the spawnmenu.
