When I created this mod, I focused on the ability to coexist with other mods. I succeeded to add Japanese culture to Middle Earth and post-apocalyptic North America, not only to normal CK2 game. (I know AtEFF mod already has Japanese-like culture.)
Therefore, I did not prepare many events specialized for medieval Eurasia. (Decision to invite Ninja and decision to create the New Chrysanthemum Throne may be likely even in unreal worlds.)
I consider separating such events for the real world as Sub mod if they are added.
Historically, pre-modern Japanese who emigrated abroad became bureaucrats and mercenaries in other countries (for example, Abe no Nakamaro and Yamada Nagamasa), but there is no example of becoming an independent monarch. What Japanese warload in Eurasia would aim for is needed to imagine, and to become Shogun of the West by gaining an imperial edict seems an attractive goal.
In this case, aims listed below will be assumed.
(1) To support the Chinese emperor and gain grace as the Govener-General of Annan
(2) To get positive opinions from characters of the same culture as the Shogun of the West
(3) To be free from the empires by creating New Japan
Of course, which of these is the best should vary from situation to situation. As you said, a Mongolian emperor of China may give no grace to a Japanese Govener-General and the first aim may lose its value.
And, the protection of buddhism in India may become could be the additional goal.
